MacBook Pro: battery and noises
h2. AppleCare
Call to applecare today, (12 months anniversary of purchase is tomorrow, so I figured I’d get it sorted sooner rather than later) regarding the noise troubles I mentioned before.
h2. Battery?
Battery died all of a sudden at 40%, which is a bit mental, and so I remembered other people had replacements, turned out my Macbook Pro is under that scheme, so I will have a new battery in the next few weeks. Macbook Pro battery exchange program details.
h2. Noisyness?
The Macbook Pro noise notice says mysteriously that I should contact apple support, but I wasn’t brave enough ’til now :-). The guy Rob at the other end was very helpful, and fairly up with what was happening, quote article number 303365 to the rep you speak to and they will then be able to find out what you are talking about. What’s happening? – Apple will replace the “logic board” (i believe those used to be called Motherboards, No?) which will not completely silence the noises, but will quieten them somewhat. I guess that’s a plus.
Will update when all is ‘fixed.’
Belfast Giants 4-0 Cardiff Devils
I’ve been working at the Odyssey the last two months or so, taking part in the in-house and web-broadcast video production with HiDAVID (that’s Ronan & Co.). (edit: some others were involved, but no longer…)

Been having great craic working on various bits and pieces of kit like this, lots of these and Canon XL H1 oh and tonight I had Sony DSR PD 170 for the pre-match commentary with coach Ed (edit) Courtenay (yes, that’s how it’s spelt) and the opposite player-coach and player, ‘Gerald’ Adams, who left the Giants a few seasons ago. You should be able to see them on the Giants’ web feed which will (hopefully) be up if the Hockey-box boys get time to do it between Giants and Dundalk practices this week. I’ll place a link on here if the loop gets started mid-week; but for the mean-time you could check BelfastGiants.com: you can catch the feed live Sat 20th, 27th from 6.30 (you’ll need to download the Octoshape plug-in – link available) and let me know what you think – any comments would be helpful for future planning of the show.
edit: Ronan provided model numbers of proper cameras.
Appreciation
Everybody go visit my friend, class mate, and for a very short time in the past web development accomplice Dave Rice. It’s not that he’s lonely, but he has a link to me, and so I should have one back. Will put a proper one on whenever I get my blogroll set up properly. For now, go visit Dave Rice. Dave Rice’s worth visiting. If you wanna have a short psychadelic experience, before the background fully loads. Its pretty. That’s Dave Rice everyone.
